The Radeon VE has only one pixel pipeline, no TnL, no HyperZ, but supports two displays.
The regular Radeon incl. TnL, HyperZ and uses a 2x3 configuration (2 pixel writes to framebuffer and 3 texture samples per clock). It includes per pixel video deinterlacing in hardware and has pixel shader capabilities, however not flexible enough to comply with Direct3D pixel shaders 1.1.
