This is one of the first cards using 128 bit width for memory and internal buses.
These are two cards on one board, the Cirrus Logic CL-GD5422 is for VGA compatibility and bootup and the Imagine 128 Accelerator is used in Windows. The VGA part can be disabled by jumper. The chip has also a few 3D acceleration features.
While one the card there is still the old company name "Number Nine Computer Corporation" the BIOS reports already as "Number Nine Visual Technology". Also Wikipedia shows a cards photo with a 220 MHz DAC.
